When the illusion finally shatters, what remains isn't disappointment,it's humiliation.
The man you poured your faith into was never a visionary, never a savior, never even remotely exceptional.
He was a hollow fraud wrapped in ego, fueled by noise, and sustained by endless self-promotion.
Every boast, every grand promise, every display of swagger crumbles the instant reality enters the room.
What looked like confidence was arrogance.
What looked like strength was insecurity.
What looked like leadership was little more than a carefully marketed illusion.
Scratch beneath the surface and there's no hidden brilliance, no master strategist, no misunderstood genius. Just an impulsive, self-absorbed figure stumbling from one failure to the next, desperately trying to drown incompetence in a torrent of bluster and spectacle.
In the end, the strongman image collapses into exactly what it always was: cheap theater.
A gaudy performance.
A caricature masquerading as leadership.
A salesman peddling an image he could never live up to.
And the hardest part isn't watching the act fall apart.
It's realizing how long you applauded it, defended it, and mistook obvious bullshit for substance.....
New Scots make an important contribution to Scotland’s diversity – they are part of the very fabric of who we are as a nation, writes Equalities Minister Simita Kumar ✍️
The BBC has plenty of blood on it's hands.
IT IS COMPLICIT IN THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA.
Supporters of the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign and GGEC place photos and stories of 255 Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza by Israel at the entrance to the BBC’s Glasgow headquarters.
💔💔No parent should ever have to live this.
📢No human should ever have to describe it.
🔴 This is one of the most devastating moments at the UN in years.Palestine’s Permanent Representative Riyad Mansour breaks down in tears while speaking about Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, a Palestinian pediatrician who lost 9 of her 10 children in an Israeli airstrike on her home in Gaza.
Their burned bodies were brought to the hospital where she works as an emergency doctor.
Mansour, struggling to speak through tears:
“This is a horror and trauma that the mind cannot comprehend… the heart cannot bear.”
We are still alive in Gaza… 🥹🇵🇸
Despite everything, we are still trying to hold on.

"The government have actively avoided looking for evidence Russia interfered."
The Intelligence & Security Committee's Stewart Hosie said the government didn't investigate alleged Russian interference in the Brexit vote, and no one wanted to touch this "with a ten-foot pole".
Starmer has done nothing to rectify this situation. Please repost if you want the government to conduct a full scale inquiry into Russian interference in British politics over the last twenty years. Russia is waging a hybrid war against the UK and this government, like its Tory predecessors, is failing to protect us against the political half of that attack.
Let me guess, a Reform UK person said this? That same person should know this than:
According to UK law, a Scottish person is defined civically, not racially.
The Scotland Act 1998 and related statutes establish Scottish identity through birth in Scotland, residency, UK citizenship, or self-identification with Scottish national identity (as reflected in the Census). The Equality Act 2010 prohibits racial discrimination, affirming equal legal standing regardless of ancestry. Race is biologically real in terms of genetic ancestry clusters, but it holds no bearing under the law on who qualifies as Scottish. Identity here rests on territory, citizenship, participation, and consent, rendering racial gatekeeping irrelevant to legal status.
At this very moment, I’m Dr Hamza, speaking to you from the Gaza Strip.

Every time England step onto the pitch in a World Cup, the country gears up for ninety minutes of hope, tension and national pride. But away from the stadiums and fan zones, another pattern plays out, one that’s far less celebrated and far more predictable.
Domestic violence rises when England play. It rises when they win, when they lose, and even when they draw. The data is consistent across multiple tournaments and multiple police forces. Abuse increases by more than a third when England lose. It still rises by over a quarter when they win. Alcohol‑related abuse jumps sharply. The day after a match, the risk remains elevated. Some forces report their busiest domestic abuse days of the entire year during England fixtures. NHS services see more injuries linked to domestic abuse during tournaments. None of this is new, and none of it is accidental.
Football doesn’t cause abuse. Abusers cause abuse. But the World Cup amplifies the risk. Heightened emotions, alcohol, gambling stress and late‑night fixtures all combine to create a pressure point that victims feel long after the final whistle.
For those of us working in healthcare, safeguarding, policing, education or community support, this is a warning. A reminder that preparation matters.
If you or someone you know is affected, support is available. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is open 24/7 on 0808 2000 247. Men can contact the Men’s Advice Line on 0808 8010 327 or the ManKind Initiative on 01823 334244. LGBTQ+ victims can reach Galop on 0800 999 5428. Childline is available for young people on 0800 1111.
The World Cup is a celebration for many. For others, it’s a danger period.
