@DeborahMeaden Probably just about legal outside of an election period. Could get caught out if a General Election was called in the next 12 months, but I guess they are willing to take that gamble, as it seems unlikely. But you won't see any sensible candidates doing it for that reason.
@LibDems@libdemdaisy Because very few banks fund their borrowing from the BoE - far more in the bond markets and inter-bank borrowing. SONIA is at 4.2% and 25-yr Gilts are at 5.4%. The damage Liz Truss did is still being felt.
@JonathanPieNews 16 year-olds can also be in full time employment, paying tax and start a family/have children. Just because you spent you latter teenage years fapping doesn't mean every 16 year old should be tarred with the same (sticky) brush.
@MartinSLewis@ofgem The point of a 6mth cap is it shields consumers from the winter-summer swing in prices. Energy companies are able to hedge or buy future contracts on supply that domestic consumers are not able to, and that should make it less volatile for everyone
@scribblingbrit@formula1god Its absolutely at its best when it is raining. Makes me question whether you have ever watched a wet F1 race. And part of what makes Spa iconic is the highly changeable weather in the Ardennes that means the best drivers, who can adapt to the conditions win.
@F1 Translation: Spa will only be in rotation after 2027, so we can cram in another money-spinning Tilkedrome in some despotic regime somewhere. Hugely disappointing.
@F1 Launching a Diversity and Inclusion charter in the week when you are racing in a country where homosexuality is punishable with 7 years imprisonment. Classy.
@timfarron Yet on the other hand, those "massive corporate types", like billionaire James Dyson are buying up farmland to avoid tax, pushing up the price of farmland. IHT is a good thing, and the real number of farms affected is small.
