I wish I could force every doctor in the very bloody NHS to sit down and read what I wrote below about Maeve Boothby O’Neill’s death 100 times. These doctors need to be treated like children writing things over and over on a chalkboard. #MaeveInquest

Backlit Barn Owl in golden light! 😍
Over the moon to see this gorgeous Barn Owl tonight as the sun set at RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset. 😀
It hovered at just the right moment for the shot!
Hope you like it! 😊🦉
The Assisted Suicide Bill Committee has finished. My final speech here. This is not the Bill the public thought they were getting. It contradicts the NHS Act and the Hippocratic Oath. It's got worse, not better, in committee.
liz kendall says these benefit cuts will save the govt £5bn by 2030.
billionaire jim ratcliffe avoided a £4bn tax bill by changing his tax domicile from hampshire to monaco.
politics!
People with ME so want to be better and contribute to society. An ambitious and well-resourced Delivery Plan could make such a difference at relatively small cost. #FundThePlan!
Irony? The Labour government closed 29 Remploy factories in 2008. The coalition government then announced in 2012 that it would close or sell the remaining 54 factories.
Explanation Remploy factories were established to create jobs for people with disabilities. In the late 1980s, there were 94 Remploy factories in the UK. In 2007, there were 83 Remploy factories. The economic recession in 2008 led to councils, the health service, and other government bodies placing fewer contracts with Remploy. The coalition government announced that it would withdraw all subsidies to Remploy. The government redirected funding from Remploy factories to help more disabled people find jobs.
After the closure of most Remploy factories, Remploy's main purpose became providing employment assistance for disabled people.
🔍 Some questions asked by @JoPlattLeigh in Parliament today received a response from the new minister.
“There are currently no plans to allocate additional funding to the ME/CFS final delivery plan.”
Not good enough.

Before 2020 there was no government in the world that thought that allowing flu to spread like wildfire was good for the economy.

This question is an amazing question - absolutely brilliant.
It is one of the *central problems* of the covid response puzzle.
I addressed it about two years ago, but can't find the thread, so here's another go...
