I’ve had no sleep in 5 - 6 days 😳

This was filmed early hours of this morning 😳

This is a taster of my new podcast which is nearly ready to go…

I have bipolar disorder type 2. Everyone talks about the episodes of depression but never about the dangers of a manic episode…

I’m being completely honest, open and a little vulnerable but if I help some who has it or their partner does - I know this is going to help….

I’m dangerously high, in a manic episode right now and I haven’t slept in 5 - 6 days 😳 only an hour here or there and if it continues I’ll have to check in with the mental health team for support..we will see…

As some of you know we have had a bloody flood in the gym and some memorabilia destroyed absolutely sick to the stomach can’t be replaced but all the water has gone under the laminate floor which all needs replacing plus a new Sani flow and a plumber to fix it which all collectively you can imagine all the costs is killing me 😞

So many great times with Ricky Hatton over the last 15 - 20 years it’s absolutely heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹 not only for me but for us all….

A people’s champion adored and loved by everyone he came into contact with…

Always time for everyone always a smile on his face and one of the lads….

I know a lot of you came to watch my first title fight at York hall Bethnal Green and ironically I stopped my opponent in the first round with a liver punch which was Hattons money shot and he was there that night his boys were on the undercard of the show and me being main event so you can imagine how I felt but what a beautiful and personal memory I will have for the rest of my life, I got a huge smile and wink from him that night a feeling that I’ll never forget…

So much charity work he did over the years and what’s beautiful about the boxing community we always get together and raise money for all different charities and the misfortunate….

I can empathise with my own struggles, mental health and addiction issues, the highs and lows of boxing that an everyday person could never understand….

In team sports you share the wins but also share the losses but for us fighters we’re all on our own….

Ricky was the same age as me and I feel at this age this is where life really begins because we’ve sorted ourselves out been through a lot of struggles and learnt from them which shapes us for the future and who we become 🙏

This has knocked the hell out of me like us all I’m trying to go about my day but keep thinking about Ricky then start feeling down again 😞

All we can do is keeping going and remember the joy Richard John Hatton brought us all…

My love and support goes out to the family and loved ones and I pray Ricky is at peace now 🙏

So last week at Buckingham Palace…

The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by His Majesty King Charles to invite me to a garden party at Buckingham Palace for my outstanding services to charitable fundraising and contribution locally and nationally (in his words) where I was amongst the royal family members including King Charles, Queen Camilla , the Princess Royal , Prince Edward the Duke of Edinburgh and Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh.

I was very emotional and crying my eyes out to be recognised for all my unconditional charitable work I’ve been doing over the last 25+ years I literally ran out of tears and I was exhausted, it wasn’t just the day that was overwhelming, it was the journey to get to this point. Afterwards I slept for four days straight…

The thing is I NEVER did anything to get any recognition and I’m still struggling to be proud…I did it because I was homeless at 15 (as most of you know) and my father passed so I had no family or parental guidance.

I cant even put into words the pain I’ve been through, bouts of depression, addiction suffering and struggling and so many times over the years I didn’t want to even live, so it was the whole journey from childhood trauma to date….

I’ve done so much charitable work you guys don’t even know 10% of what I’ve done because it’s not about that…

I don’t do it to get a pat on the back because no one can give me what I want and that’s love from a parent, which I never had.

I found love in giving and giving, gives you love in return if done from the heart so one minute all the above - and next minute partying with the Royal family bearing in mind I am basically partying with my own family 😉 as a couple years ago doing my ancestry showed that I am blood related to the Royal family….

This is something huge and very commendable and I’ve been pinching myself ever since but there’s more to come ❤️
