Many children in Somalia drop out of school when families lose their livelihood. Muscab was one of these kids in Galkacyo who dropped out of school because of displacements but thanks a local community group that raise awareness on education, Muscab returned to school in 2024.

Water is life but not everyone has the privilege of having it. As water finance shrinks, access to water is limited in Somalia. By addressing these challenges, New Ways with the funding from @shf_somalia constructed and rehabilitated solar-powered shallow water wells in Afgoi.

Last week, New Ways Organization conduced community-wide hygiene kits distribution campaign in Afgoi as part of @shf_somalia’s integrated WASH project. Distributions were made in Mareeray, Tawakal, Balgure, Wanjeelow and Bulo-elay villages in Afgoi district.
New Ways Organization held community action group training aimed at strengthening child protection structures to support those facing poverty, displacement, and violence this month. Through @shf_somalia funded protection project, we ensure every child’s safety and welfare.
