Sometimes I look at how much I've survived and instead of feeling proud, I just feel sad that I had to become this strong. I know I'm resilient. I know I made it through. But there are days when I don't want to celebrate my ability to endure anymore. I just want a life where I don't constantly have to prove that I can.
Call me crazy but I don’t want my man working harder or more to take care of me. I want him to work enough to sustain life WITH me. That over worked, stressed out, exhausted life isn’t it.
Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
trauma is crazy, because what do you mean that during survival mode i dissociated so hard that i can’t remember half of my life, and i can only sometimes remember most of my memories if someone else brings them up? i cannot recall more than half of my life
