Yesterday undoubtedly marked the darkest day #nufc fans have seen under Ashley, and the worst in my time as a Newcastle supporter. I've attempted to put down on paper the outrage and sense of nothingness fans feel right now. Any thoughts much appreciated.

Matthias Jaissle on the announcement regarding our new training complex:
"I am really pleased that we can announce that today, it will be a world-class training facility, and sets standards for this ambitious club. It is a great sign for our future. I can’t wait to see that development now. It shows the ambitions of the club."
Angel of the North meets Christ the Redeemer. For a few years, Bruno Guimarães made our ownership model feel human. If he leaves, Newcastle lose far more than a midfielder.
Thanks to @FourFourTwo for hosting this love letter / lament.

@MagpieMediaX I like your coverage but this is incredibly erratic. You criticise fans for not backing the team and then label 75% of the squad spineless mercenaries.
Romano once again showing his colours - he is nothing more than an instrument for the big clubs trying to leverage the market. Clarity for the few, chaos for the rest. @MagpieMediaX

[1/3] Been containing this thoughts but…
Newcastle’s transfer window has highlighted a deeper shift in modern football: the increasing difficulty for ambitious clubs to operate in a market shaped by real-time reporting (Romano), agent influence, and elite opportunism.
@JordanThelen I can’t see any incentive in mid-tier clubs sharing information on ambitious deals. Can’t help but feel agents are leveraging Romano to strike better deals for their players. Nothing new but the pervasiveness of social media generally has a material effect on the market.

@RBanerjee23 Agreed - PSR is huge, frustrating and more convoluted than we can probably hope to understand, but the always-on reporting has blown open any hope of operating discreetly. I have no issues with our targets - we just haven’t closed any of them!
And no, Stateside for foreseeable!
[3/3] #nufc continue to see key targets slip away at the final moment. Isak will probably follow. In a system that rewards visibility but punishes vulnerability, the transfer window isn’t functioning as a path forward for ambitious teams outside the traditional Top 6.
[2/3] The Trafford, Isak, Pedro, Sesko sagas have played out under constant scrutiny. Agents and intermediaries leverage leaks to attract bigger suitors, while #nufc#bhafc#bfc, having done the groundwork, are left exposed. Transfers are no longer discreet, they're performative.
First tweet in a while but… there is a slight irony in watching #lfc fans publicly salivate over Isak, mocking #nufc fans’ despair with the same performative entitlement they condemned when Madrid circled Trent. Appreciate Trent was a lifer, but the moral certainty is selective.
Spanish FA putting on an absolute disasterclass in its defence of its president Luis Rubiales. He has to go. His kiss was creepy, offensive and non-consensual. His subsequent comments confirm further he should not be leading a sport or an organisation. Jenni Hermoso and her team-mates should be basking in their triumph not having to deal with dinosaurs. Perhaps the Spanish FA will wake up only when it realises the damage to its (joint) 2030 World Cup bid if Rubiales remains at the helm.
Every one of @WaxxaNCL’s videos is a love letter to #nufc. Goosebumps territory.
For anyone questioning the size of the achievement Howe and his players have delivered this season, and what it means to fans, watch these videos. Burn’s story easily one of the most captivating.
"Throughout his career, he doesn't quite get the recognition that his performances deserve.
The way he conducts himself on a daily basis, he's a true inspiration to us.
He's Newcastle through and through."
He's from Blyth...🎵
