That is what you have been doing and it is not about your husband’s incessant complaining. Explaining 'the true picture' on every occasion means you justify yourself and only take corrections afterwards. It's like the naughty boy whose teacher asked him to stand up in class who said he's standing up outside but sitting down inside. It means you don't agree to his decisions deep within you, but you are complying to his decisions, and you feel caged. You feel like a slave and one day you are going to spark.

To gain wisdom, check yourself, when your husband complains. Is your husband a nagging complainer or you are often doing things that are not right? Learn to listen to rebuke. Proverbs 9:9 says, “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” A wise person will take heed to rebuke. When you don't take heed to rebuke at home, you will commit a terrible blunder outside and it will lead to higher shame. When people that love you are correcting you, you better take it, that is cheap development and advancement for you.

Don't form the habit of always explaining yourself. Cultivate the habit of thinking about what they said you have not done right. Is it really true that you have not done right or are they just picking faults? Adjust yourself to correction. Don't explain. Corrections and rebukes make you better. Psalm 141:5 says “Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head.”

Always change for the better at every rebuke, this attitude is going to help you a lot. Most times, it is the person that loves you, lives with you and sees all the awkward aspects of your life that can speak into your life. Take heed to them. Let it be easy for your spouse to talk to you, to correct you, to say important things to you; be careful that your spouse will not need to sum up courage before he can say something about you that needs improvement. You must come away from that position. Let your husband have the right and authority to correct you and speak to your life because he is in your life to make you better.

@Fizzy752014 @PO_GrassRootM for not giving free food. Why do people feel they must be baby sitted in church? But they don't mind giving in clubs and associations without taking back so that people look up to them as leaders. I know there are bad pastors, but not all are bad. At least mine is not.

If I need help (financial or others), I know I can easily walk up to my pastor but the thing is I would rather exhaust all possible means to solve my financial problem than start blaming my pastor

Do you have a GO that sets standards for the members in his church and give goals they must reach before 30 e.g, own a land or a growing savings account to buy a land, save 20% of your income for the next 7 years, have a savings account
