Deputy Chief of Mission of @Israel to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam | Former DCM to Albania | First Armenian-Israeli diplomat at @IsraelMFA ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ณ
As a grandchild of survivors of the #ArmenianGenocide, as an Israeli citizen and diplomat, and after years of advocacy, I am proud that #Israel has finally recognized the Armenian Genocide. A long-overdue step for truth and historical justice.
Thank you @gidonsaar.

It's never too late to do the right thing.
I thank @IsraeliPM Netanyahu for his support, and the government ministers for their unanimous approval of the resolution I initiated for Israel's recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
Thus, Israel joins 32 countries that have fulfilled a moral duty by recognizing the historical truth, and rejecting attempts to deny it.
Recognition of the #ArmenianGenocide is indeed a moral and historical duty of the State of #Israel and every other nation in the world.
As an Israeli-Armenian, a grandchild of survivors of that Genocide, I salute you @gidonsaar for this noble and principled act.

I will bring before the Israeli government at its next meeting a proposed resolution for the official recognition by the Government of Israel of the Armenian Genocide.
Recognizing the genocide perpetrated against the Armenian people in the final years of the Ottoman Empire is both a moral and historical duty.
We must also firmly condemn any denial, minimization, or distortion of the historical truth.
The resolution will subsequently be brought before the Knesset for a vote.
We congratulate the PM of Armenia @NikolPashinyan and the Civil Contract Party on the victory in the Armenian parliamentary elections.
PM Pashinyan has demonstrated leadership by advancing his country towards peace and reconciliation with Azerbaijan, which will promote regional stability and cooperation.
Last night, words became bullets.
Yaron and Sarah, staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., were murdered by a terrorist outside a Jewish museum.
Their killer shouted โFree Palestine.โ
Since October 7, chants turned to threats. Threats turned to violence.
This didnโt start last night. But it has to stop now.
Deeply outraged by the horrific killing of two staff members from the Embassy of Israel in Washington, DC.
We extend our deepest condolences to their families and all who are mourning this senseless loss.
There must be NO PLACE for hatred and antisemitic acts!
@IsraelMFA
Love and talent defeated hate and ignorance!
The winner of hearts of #Eurovision2025!
Congratulations #Israel and thank you #Albania for your support ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฑ

On the eve of the #HolocaustRememberenceDay we had the honor to host Efrat Altaraz, the author of the book โMacedonian Sunโ, that tells the story of the last survivor of the Jewish community of Stip, #NorthernMacedonia, who found refuge in an #Albanian family in #Kosovo.
Tonight, the embassy of #Israel in #Albania was illuminated in orange in memory of the murdered children of the Bibas family, Ariel and Kfir, and of all the victims of #Hamas terrorism.

Kfir and Ariel Bibas ๐งก
Two baby brothers brutally murdered by Hamas, who will live forever in the heart of an entire nation. ๐ฎ๐ฑ
Rest in eternal peace ๐ชฝ
Yarden Bibas is finally home but his wife Shiri and their children Kfir and Ariel are not with him.
They were kidnapped by Hamas 484 days ago. Since then, there has been no sign of them. No word. No trace.
There are no words to describe this reality.
Today we marked the International #Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps.
From Tirana, #Albania, we renewed our pledge to continue our combat against #antisemitism in all its forms.
#NeverAgain is now!
Meet, Yuval Raphael, #Israelโs representative to the 69th edition of #Eurovision.
Yuval, miraculously survived the Nova Festival Massacre perpetrated by #Hamas, only to win the hearts of Israelis and soon that of Europe!
She is the embodiment of Israeli resilience!
This is wonderful news for strengthening further the ties between Israel and Albania! Direct flights not only make travel more convenient but also open doors for cultural exchange, tourism, and business opportunities. The historical bond between the two nations, including Albaniaโs heroic role in sheltering Jews during World War II, is a foundation for a deeper connection.
Encouraging Israelis to explore Albaniaโs breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and growing economy will undoubtedly foster stronger friendships and partnerships. A shared future of collaboration and mutual respect can lead to incredible opportunities for both countries. Hereโs to many unforgettable memories and a flourishing friendship ๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ค๐ฎ๐ฑ
Grateful to an exceptional man, an inspiring leader, and my dear friend @Isaac_Herzog for bringing with him to Albania an outstanding group of Israeli entrepreneurs and for his encouraging words to the Jewish business community, urging them to see Albania as a brotherly land of opportunities. ๐
Today marks one year since the tragic October 7th Hamas terror attack on Israel.
Albania stands firm in its call for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims' families and our unwavering support to those still in captivity and their loved ones ๐๏ธ.
We urge all parties to work towards a comprehensive solution that ensures lasting peace and stability in the region.
