If: a. you're an engineer who wants to help build literally life saving features or b. you're an investor/donor who cares about this population (primarily elderly, often with pre-existing conditions) reach out. [email protected].
Been building a solution for heart patients to complete rehab at home for the last many months, https://t.co/UhVJmv6Vhl. Accelerated the timeline recently to deliver this to patients who can no longer attend in person rehab. 1/x
Two reasons they can't attend in person: 1. Rehab centers closed. 2. Heart Patients at elevated risk of serious complications and mortality should they contract COVID-19. Source: https://t.co/uHmSe62Y8T 2/x

Every single function that can be made remote-capable must be made so. Yes, video chat and productivity. But also telemedicine, autonomous delivery robots, more.
We need to safeguard the lives of doctors, nurses, delivery personnel.

That said, running a controlled experiment with "more" / "less" govt intervention in markets is impossible so it's difficult to truly know in which cases govt intervention is helpful/harmful. Thus, argument by ideology. @econtalker
Great thread. The idea of America as free-market is so powerful we tend to confuse ideal with reality. Then assign all the bad societal effects to "free-markets." Which, of course, aren't free.
I keep seeing articles and tweets saying that America has been in the grip of neoliberalism and free-market zealotry and it's time for a change. This is one of the greatest sleights of hand in intellectual history...
