We provide UV simulation training and online learning on High-consequence infectious disease assessment, by clinicians in the UK HCID network and the HSE
Our year to date:
-125 HCW from 10 NHS trusts completed the UV simulation course
-A great faculty group from across the UK
-Evidence of educational effectiveness.

Find out about UV Simulation for infection training at @FISConf this weds @ 1415 - Free papers 2. Our courses provide training for NHS professionals in the safe assessment of suspected HCID cases. From clinicians in the HCID network, @HSE, @sheffieldhosp & @simcentre_dbth.
Why use UV markers to simulate pathogen transmission in HCID Sim?
1. Visualisation allows teaching of contamination reduction behaviour
2. Builds confidence in PPE
3. Improves adherence in the clinic

This week we trained 16 ID specialists from @SheffieldHosp, @HullHospitals & @LeedsHospitals
in assessment and diagnosis of HCID Suspect cases using @UKHSA guidance. The UV sim course was developed with @H_S_E & provides a quality learning experience.
Our HCID Assessment course provides simulation training in HCID assessment PPE, patient assessment and diagnosis. This week we trained 16 specialists from the Yorkshire & Humber Region using ultraviolet markers. More dates soon!
Our Simulation courses use VIOLET, a simulation mannequin which coughs, vomits and sweats ultraviolet tracers, allowing for a powerful visual experience of contamination. Find out more about the evidence base behind VIOLET here:
