Sheriff Tate along with numerous other sheriffs, and state and federal law enforcement leaders met with Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D. last week. The group discussed the prevalence of fentanyl and other drug related issues plaguing our communities.

Our correctional officers and jail staff work behind the scenes in an often hostile environment, but they show up every day and do their jobs without complaint.

Holmes County will join other communities across the country at noon on May 4, 2023 for National Day of Prayer in the annual event sponsored by the Holmes County Ministerial Association.

Deputy Sherrouse, SRO at BETHLEHEM HIGH SCHOOL, had a warm greeting from last night’s Prayer Walk waiting by his parking spot when he got to work this morning.

It was a beautiful day for a Torch Run! Sheriff Tate, Deputies Barton and Shirah, along with Holmes CI Warden Flores and staff had the privilege of escorting the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics through Bonifay today.
