@thecrobe As someone who has moved around the country for post docs, and a partner who did the 'required' USA post doc. It made zero positive benefit to our careers, but meant we have had to prove ourselves repeatedly in new jobs. Not to mention the financial burden and additional stress!
A great collaboration with an amazing bunch of people! Huge thanks to @hall_lab, @sclknowles, @AuraRaulo, Laima Baltrūnaitė, @MicrobioMolly@Starchlab for all your work and support, and to @FloMazel and @HC_Harris for insightful discussions and help. So excited to see it out!
[Self promotion warning] Very happy to see our @nanopore adaptive sampling metagenomics paper come out today in @GenomeBiology - particular credit to Sam Martin and Darren Heavens, who somehow get through life without Twitter. @NanoporePapers https://t.co/xNFkyswkRs
Interested in doing bacterial genetics and genomics @UniIbadan and building your career? If you like bacteria, genomes or both, and have a foundation in molecular science and microbiology, consider joining us - we have a few positions open!
I am hiring a Post Doc to play science with us at @UniofNewcastle. We support EDI and encourage applications from all individuals who are interested in working on the role of the gut microbiome and breast milk in preterm infant health and disease
