As a Regional Vice President of the Hospital Council - Northern & Central California, I work to solve health care challenges through collaboration & innovation.
I’m proud of the innovative solutions Sacramento hospitals are implementing to reduce the time it takes to offload ambulance patients and release EMS partners back into the field. @CalHospitals https://t.co/5wi2huR7fl
Common summer activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, & camping can lead to a spike in injuries. We proudly collaborated with our fellow health systems and first responders to offer summer safety tips. @HospCouncil@DignityHlthSac@SutterHealth@UCDavisHealth@MetroFirePIO
Attending the Sierra Workforce Summit at @SierraCollege. Kim Menzel of @kpgreatersac discussed the expansion of healthcare service in Placer County and the efforts to educate the health workforce.
This is a major problem. It keeps current hospital patients from receiving the appropriate next step of care and prevents new patients coming into the hospital from receiving acute care in a timely fashion.
On any given day, 4,500 hospital patients in CA wait hours or days to be discharged due to insurance company delays. These companies sit on their hands and aren’t keeping their legal commitment to ensure access to timely care. #HoldInsurersAccountable
It’s an exciting morning joining community leaders like Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln and Senator@SusanEggman to celebrate the groundbreaking of the expansion of Stanislaus State University’s Stockton Campus.
We are so glad to join with health care leaders from throughout the Sacramento region in meeting with members of Congress and other key decision makers to advocate for solutions to critical needs. Only together can we achieve the outcomes our patients and public deserve.
@RepBera and Sup. Rich Desmond are among the speakers addressing the 400+ business, civic, and governmental leaders participating in the 52nd annual Capitol-to-Capitol advocacy program.

I had the honor of joining two amazing hospital executives, Kim Menzel @kpgreatersac & Tammy Powers @SutterHealth, in discussing critical healthcare issues with the Leadership programs for @rocklinchamber1 @RosevilleChambr and Lincoln Area Chamber.
The 2024 Hospital Finance and Reimbursement Seminar is breaking down a very complex and dynamic field. New federal regulations, the CA Office of Health Care Affordability, and much more. Many, many challenges for health care leaders to navigate.
Hospitals and EMS providers are innovating together to give patients the best care possible. In an emergency, call 911. If it's not an emergency, access your doctor's office, a nurse advice line, or urgent care.

A huge turnout for the Sacramento County APOT Summit. EMS, hospital, and community leaders are working together to ensure that ambulance patients are offloaded to hospital care as quickly and safely as possible. We can do this!
Shout out to the awesome Donna Astrinidis. The Sacramento County Healthcare Coalition recognized her for convening disaster preparedness leaders for the last five and a half years. She has helped make sure healthcare organizations in the region are ready for the worst.
After convening leaders from education, health care, and social services for six months, today we witnessed the formal birth of the San Joaquin Youth Wellness Alliance! So much expertise, passion, and commitment to improve the wellbeing of kids in one group. Inspiring.

Our unhoused neighbors are facing winter. Sacramento friends, come to CalExpo Main Gate on Mon., 12/4 from 7-7. HART is gathering personal hygiene supplies, socks, gloves, and warm hats to distribute to people experiencing homelessness. #SMUDGivingMonday
Today I visited Oak Valley Hospital, which serves the people of the City of Oakdale and Stanislaus County. Like hospitals in many areas, it cares for its people despite tremendous challenges facing rural health care organizations. It’s a pillar of the community.
