Did I take the money? Yes. Did I grow the game and make it more accessible for the rest of the world? No. In fact now that I have the $ I think it's time for reality to set in and apply to everyone else.
Offseason Tape 🎬
JJ Mandaquit (So, 6’1”) - | 5.2 PPG | 2.1 RPG | 3.2 APG | 43.6 FG% | Arizona (transfer) | Hilo, HI
Jolty lead guard with a dynamite first step—gets downhill in a hurry. Constant pressure coming down the lane.
Natural playmaker with strong instincts and feel. Creates for others and reads the pick n roll nicely.
Great floater game with touch in the lane; flashed a developing midrange and three ball.
A player who only scratched the surface as a freshman. Tommy Lloyd can unlock more out Mandaquit in year 2.

To recap, the Washington Huskies men's basketball team has lost:
-one starting point guard to Arizona;
-another starting combo guard to Kentucky; and
-its starting forward to the NBA draft (who was reportedly courted with near-$10 million offers to stay in school and transfer)
The player we saw last year was not a difference maker. If it turns out that was because the coaching was so bad that it made him look like a midlevel guy - well then that's a problem.
Sergio is on the cusp of a rare achievement. His career arc of being "so" unlikeable that he becomes somewhat likeable is close to being completed. The post round interview was adorable. Everyone knew their role and played it well and nobody took it too serious. Was incredible.
A whole series of events from Sergio Garcia earlier on Sunday at the Masters 😳
😬 Slams his driver in frustration
😬 Breaks his driver against a cooler
😅 Carries Jon Rahm's bag while Rahm's caddie tends to a bunker
Kind of a societal problem at this point but for whatever reason the strategy now is that some people just NEED to intrude upon our lives every single day. No matter what, they get airtime in our collective being in every manner possible. It's exhausting. Hopefully unsustainable.
Having Pat McAfee, Jason Kelce, Bert Kreischer and Kevin Hart at The Masters is the epitome of ESPN's cultural degradation of sports. Augusta National should be the ultimate place of dignity and reverence and these ignominious dullards debase it with their sophomorish hijinks.
@BPancee@CollegeFBPortal@oregonfootball@BarstoolDucks Stick shift or Automatic? Red, White, or Blue? North or South? If you paused on any of those answers then you just wouldn't be a very good surgeon. I'm sorry.
NEW: Oregon QB coach Koa Ka’ai evaluates recruits with a simple question: “Chocolate or vanilla ice cream?”
Any hesitation… and coach doesn’t want him.
“If you pause on ice cream,” Ka’ai says, “what are you going to do on 3rd down in front of 110,000 fans?” 😳
Thought 1 - don't think about it for like.... more than a year or however long it will be until we actually know if he's ever going to show up at Montlake.
Once upon a time it seemed important that Joe Montana wear a UW hat or something (He probably did... Or maybe he didn't.... I can't remember). In any event, turns out that does not matter that much.
Will Peja Stojakovic be in #Illini clothing for the Final Four?
Andrej: "I have no idea. He just likes to wear the bland stuff, he doesn't really like logos. We'll see."
Asked Andrej if he'll make sure dad gets gear, if he wants it: "He has stuff... He has a lot of stuff."
@SeaTownKev No it is not. The lack of continuity sucks but he could not get to the rim and wasn't a great shooter. In the B1G how does he compete with the guys Iowa/Wiscy/Michigan /etc. are rolling out there. The answer is he doesn't. He's not going to be transferring to a top program.
@Tequilla_UW I think w/ DW it's going to be the most straightforward relationship the fans have with any player. If he's good - we're good. When he's bad - he's going to hear about it. The most clearly defined example of pay for play in CFB next year.
Decades of "if you ain't cheatin you ain't tryin" and "it just means more" and the antidotes of guys who acknowledge they got $ (Shaq / Charles Barkley). Just gone the instant it became legal for everyone to do it. Now SEC needs A&M / UT and its schools w/ $ to bring it back.
Things to worry about include: (1) Competent offense against good teams; (2) Competent offense in road games; and (3) any win(s) against equal/better competition.
Jedd on the Demond Williams saga from the off season:
"I dont think it ever gets talked about....We're way past it. He's doing awesome.... We got a lot of things to worry about, none of which happened in January."
Sark should never be a favorite to win anything substantive. Unless and until he actually does something meaningful that guys has done less with more than most coaches could ever dream.
