I would like to give Virginia Democrats some credit. They have found ways to tax you or hit you with some governmental fee in every area of your life.

You pay taxes because you own a vehicle, you pay taxes because you own a house, you pay taxes on your income, you pay taxes when you buy things at the store and you pay taxes on your utilities. Everything you buy has a tax built into it that you are paying after being taxed on your income. The only two exceptions that I have found are breathing and sleeping…. until now….

This year, Democrats have found a way to put a fee on your new mattress. It will be about $20 per mattress. Every mattress in Virginia that is sold In Virginia’s will have this fee on it. They don’t call it tax, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it’s a duck.

So congratulations Democrats, you have found a way to tax sleeping. I guess breathing is still tax free…for now.

This campaign announcement could not make the point better. The proposed VA7 is the lobster district. Almost every county is red except Arlington, Fairfax and a few blips around Henrico. This district will likely be represented by Democrat Dan Helmer - the author of most of the anti-gun bills.

Goochland - a county that went 60% for Trump will be gerrymandered into Arlington - 120 miles away.

The only thing Goochland and Arlington have as a community of interest is that they are in Virginia. This is disgusting.

This is why we should vote no to the redistricting amendment.
