@SenWhitehouse Are these recent supreme court rulings impacting law or rights and interest? In many cases there is no law. Congress needed to codify laws (get bills passed) so decisions can be made based on the constitution and not cases (precedents). Ask our reps to get to work.
@POTUS In truth, neither side has accurately framed the current energy crisis. A complex array of economic, political, and geopolitical factors have converged to cause the national energy dilemma, which is unlikely to improve in the near future.
@POTUS Democrats blamed oil companies for gouging consumers in order to boost their own profits.
Republicans countered that the high prices were due to this president's and energy policies that discourage domestic oil production
@96fps@serpentOracle@NationNormie3@Super7664 @Chigasuwa @dao2wei @JeffBezos why? it is just a word... if you use it, it helps me understand what you mean. Unless you use it incorrectly, sometimes I do that. I know self-made billionaires I attended school with...
@NationNormie3@96fps @dao2wei @JeffBezos What Biden was elected to do; what he did or did not do is best asked and evaluated by his supporters. he may have delivered. but if he did not deliver, they would know and they would have to answer, "then why 40 years?"
@serpentOracle@NationNormie3@Super7664 @Chigasuwa @96fps @dao2wei @JeffBezos Definitions
Oligarchy.
1. a very rich business leader with a great deal of political influence.
Self-made
1. is used to describe people who have become successful and rich through their own efforts, especially if they started life without money, education, or high social status
@JeffBezos Misdirection. Corporations that sell gas may or may not be paying much less for oil yet profit by selling high gas prices. Also that there's "a war" that impacts America? Companies may be recovering losses due to the pandemic? Taxes on gas increased to replenish stimulus support?
@joncoopertweets ...it's not. They do their job when it is required. Congress did not codify a law that would protect the rights the majority voted for and/or that is possibly inalienable. Supreme court only ruled on the appropriateness of allowing "super precedents" to persist without end.
