The joy of a fanzine is in its physical, tangible, three-dollar-valuable existence. Turning it into a website or a twitter account would take away from that magic.
But that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to publicize it a bit!
Last time I'll bang the drum on this, but we're building a really nice Halifax Wanderers & CPL community over at the *other place* 🟦☁️
Starter pack here to help you find other Halifax fans. Let me know when you're there and I'll add you:

@Searl04 It’s far from the worst thing on here, but on Remembrance Day, the only comments on @CPLsoccer’s post were all hawking crypto. It really made me think: why does this site deserve my time?
@DominikDiamond “The Canadian soccer team spies on St. Kitts and Nevis” sounds like the plot to a Blake Edwards screwball comedy. If Kevin Blue wants to find revenue for Soccer Canada, he can sell the movie rights to that story!
Upon rewatching the CPL final, one thing really stands out:
That game was twenty times more entertaining than Ottawa vs Forge in the semi-final. Those two teams deserved to be there, and they really do bring out the quality in each other.
@KevinAn45942701 When I went to Edmonton in 2022 to see the Wanderers play there, Tommy was right ahead of me in line to buy a ticket. He had a day off, so why wouldn’t he drive three hours to watch two teams battle it out for seventh place?
Like you say, he’s a class act.
@JonHuntwrhs@DownThePubPod@FromAwaysHFX@Searl04 I feel like inherent bias will always have the deck stacked against Ontario teams. Even discounting media focus and national sentiments, so many players are from Ontario that it can feel like an uphill battle for other teams to retain them.
@DownThePubPod@JonHuntwrhs@FromAwaysHFX@Searl04 Yep. I’m weary of how the league swells with pride every time York does something right, but I don’t hate York.
That’d be like hating a U12 player because you’re tired of sitting next to his dad during the game. ; )
