@militaryhistori @joecarey She was a 'torpedo-ram', specifically designed for ramming attacks which is why her armament was all placed forward. She was the model for the 'Thunder Child' as described by HG Wells in 'War of the Worlds' which takes on the alien tripods by ramming them.

Chances of Jews surviving were far higher in Belgium than in the Netherlands. Possible reasons were Belgium's previous experience with occupation, Catholic Walloons attitudes, Netherlands card index system of population registration and differing rates of Jewish refugees.

The Belgian teacher who rescued 100s of Jewish children during the Holocaust and kept coded records of their original names, such that they could return to their original families post-war.

She was recognised by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations in 1989.

31.08.1943|Over 400 inmates - mostly Poles & Ukrainians - were deported from the Gestapo Łącki prison in Lviv to #Majdanek. Among those prisoners detained in KL Lublin that day there was a Ukrainian priest Emilian Kowcz, the blessed parson of Majdanek.

@HGWDavie RT is one game that has the largest user content. Whilst not covering the same breadth CMBB did overall CM covers more periods. With modern being VERY popular. Personally eastern front my key interest and who knows what involvement with slitherine might bring in that regard.
