Let me advise those of you young people in the corporate world.

If you have a colleague that both of you were mates in rank or position, and you were very close, and that colleague of yours later becomes your boss.

Do not say because you were once mates in position, then you think you can interact with him or her the same way.

Respect the authority that he or she is presently occupying and keep your distance.

Wait to see if he or she would still want you to be closer, before you know how to interact with them officially.

Your bosses take key decisions for the firm, even if that decision may affect you.

They have meetings that you're not privileged or qualified to attend.

If you keep trying to interact with that colleague simply because you were once close, you'll be shocked.

Where they're making decisions that may affect you, your once close colleague may throw you under the bus.

Especially if you work in a structured environment, where meritocracy is recognized over familiarity.

Your colleagues are mostly not your friends.

All of you are earning salaries just to get by.

Do your job diligently, so that your once close colleague that was at your level, will not be seen as trying to use his or her position to favour you unduly.

That has to be one of the funniest arguments Ronaldo fans keep repeating. Who told you that playing for a national team with a rich legacy and legendary players is an advantage? If anything, it's a huge burden. You're expected to match or surpass everything those legends achieved. That's exactly what happened to Messi. Argentine fans criticized him for years, and even Maradona himself publicly belittled him. Yet despite all that, Messi went on to surpass every legend his country had ever produced—including Maradona.

And since when is modern football measured by history? If it were, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain would still be irrelevant clubs. By the same logic, you could say Messi's Champions League legacy with Barcelona is greater than Cristiano's with Real Madrid because Madrid already had nine European Cups before Ronaldo arrived, while Barcelona had only one before Messi helped them reach five. But that's not how modern football works. What matters is who was better. During Ronaldo's time, Portugal were at least on Argentina's level—if not stronger—except, of course, from the start of the Qatar World Cup, when Portugal's squad was clearly much stronger on paper.

Even in 2014, when Messi dragged an average Argentina side to the World Cup final, Argentina were nowhere near better than Portugal.

The difference was Messi. He's the kind of player who transforms every team he joins. In every tournament he enters, he ends up being the best player and walks away with the individual awards.

Don't even try to use that argument. It's one of the dumbest talking points Ronaldo fans repeat, and it sounds like something only someone who started watching football yesterday would say.

Please start looking for another job.

This is a step-by-step approach to understanding the JAPANESE 🇯🇵 MEXT SCHOLARSHIP.

If you know anyone interested in the Japanese Undergraduate, Graduate, and Ph.D. Scholarship, RT and tag them to this post.

📍There are different kinds of scholarships in Japan but MEXT scholarship is the most robust scholarship for International students for Undergrad, MSc, and Ph.D.

▪︎ MEXT scholarship can be divided into two categories:

A. University Recommended MEXT
B. Embassy Recommended MEXT

Let's Start with the University Recommended MEXT.

▪︎ First, you have to check for all schools in Japan using:

If you have a particular city preference, go to the Universities in those cities and check their official websites.

Every school has the University-Recommended MEXT page on their official website.

This is where you will see all the requirements, eligibility, benefits, application rounds, Language proficiency requirement, health, Nationality, and visa requirements.

Make sure you carefully read everything on the page so as to understand.

You can also google 'MEXT UNIVERSITY RECOMMENDED' to see the list of schools involved in this scholarship.

Generally, you need to first get a Professor that can supervise your work because you will have to put the Prof's name in the form.

Also, note that you have to courier ALL filled hard copy forms to the school.

Let me summarise how the MEXT university category is done at Tohoku University, as an example so that you can have an idea.

Note that there may be some slight changes in other schools.

📍Get a supervisor in your field:

Please make sure your course is taught in English. Scroll up the page to see. You can also watch the Introductory video.

📍Confirm everything about admission and scholarship here:

They will tell you when MEXT University recommended opens (usually around August-September).

📍Fill the form on the portal and your credentials will be evaluated.

📍If you are shortlisted, the school will reach out to you for a screening exam.

📍The screening exam isusually monitored. Your supervisor will set up an exam for you and he will be there throughout the exam time. Your video will be ON till the end of the exam.

📍He/She will send the exam questions. You will print the exam, solve the questions, and upload the answers within a specific time frame, usually 3-4hrs.

▪︎ Note that some schools may not require that you write the exam.

📍Your result will be announced with your registration number, and these are the common results:

i. Passed with Scholarship
ii Passed without Scholarship
iii. Failed.
