@ALTIS This is something I make clear to all the athletes I work with. If we are doing something that you don't understand why we are doing it, ask. If I can't give you an answer that satisfies you then why are we doing it? Because I say so is not an answer.
@GrahamRave_hj@ChrisBakerHJ I can only second what Graham says. It has been a privilege to have seen the lad with his 'healthy' ASDA lunch all those years ago progress to the jumper I saw almost clear 2.40! Good luck in all you do Chris and have a wonderful life with Hannah.
My HJ squad are doing a sponsored jump to raise funds for a rain cover for the international HJ bed we obtained from Alexander Stadium as they replace their equipment for the Commonwealth Games. The whole community using the track at Worcester will benefit from this. Thanks.
@carvperformance@PfaffSC Set 1 - This is what I want you to do - observe and correct
Set 2 - Improve on set 1 - again observe and correct
Set 3 - Improve on set 2 with increased load/intensity/speed - maintaining quality improvements from set 2
My way of working FWIW!
@DeeElmhirst@FemaleCN And not to forget a very significant role in the development and rehabilitation after serious injury of Joel Khan. Two of many female coaches I have great respect for and who continually develop outstanding athletes.
@bethanthegreat But if you came back refreshed and revived ready to kick on in 2022 then have no guilt. Karma only bites if you take the P. This you definitely have not done for many years - you are in karma credit!!
@IzzyMoorePhD@PfaffSC@jefftaylorhaas Interesting to see this study. Would also be interesting to see if the range of movement of a study individual changed as they progressed from the early stages to later stages of puberty.
"at some point in the youth sports journey there needs to be a realisation that it is their journey and it is up to them” Great article from @InformedinSport on teaching an athlete to fish https://t.co/AUb9ZzS0Lj
As a coach, your job is to help your players do these five things:
1. Improve their skills and achieve success.
2. Become leaders and good teammates.
3. Grow their love for the game.
4. Develop character and learn life lessons.
5. Take care of their physical and mental health.
@bethanthegreat Glad you are enjoying it!! Denis is out there with Tom Gale and Lavern Spencer. Unfortunately he was on a flight with a COVID person - now in isolation until after Tom jumps. He said at least he can get his money back on the trousers he bought to wear in the parade.
@TrentenMerrill@lacesyourfriend Agree totally. If you let the heap get too wet it just turns to slime. Shredded paper is a staple of our bin. You can also use an accelerator if things are hanging around too long (in the UK my Dad swore by a product called Garotta to get the best compost)
