Most people you meet will be less confident than they seem. So if you give people more encouragement than you'd expect them to need, you'll be about right.
Sometimes we don’t quite process that billions of people on the planet get unlimited entertainment, voice and video calling, maps, restaurant reviews, weather, news, an encyclopedia, mail, messaging, and more for *free* just because 1-2% of us click an ad every now and then.
Publishers should want to own the relationship with their advertisers. It moves the ad impression from a commodity to something a little more impactful.
This is not the media barbell. On one side, you've got the Times, The Post, and WSJ. On the other, very niche publications focused on specific topics.

An early lesson I learned was that if you solve someone else's problems, you'll get rewarded for it. Can be your customer's problems, your bosses, etc.
But no one cares if you solve your own. Trick to scaling a business is solving your own without impacting your customers.
