This is the biggest release since launch.

Four things lead it:

🎯 Your AIs decide where a question goes, and you set the leaning. Allow online, and an AI answers with a frontier model by default, keeping a question on your own computer when a model there is better for it. One dial sets how much goes online: Frontier-first, Balanced, Local-first. Online models are set by job: everyday questions, the genuinely hard ones, the live web, agent work, planning. Health questions never leave your machine. New online models and providers arrive without waiting for an app update.

🧩 Add-ons are here. Marketing open-source infrastructure with a vision behind it is a unique challenge.

Our market is the people building apps. But the people who immediately get Holochain's value are often on the other end — the ones the builders are building for.

People ask why we're not doing any marketing. We are -- you just might not be able to see it unless you're in one of the industries that we think are in desperate need of P2P tech. The kind of industry where money, safety, or even lives are on the line if the umbilical cord to the cloud gets cut.

And from experience, those people don't usually show up on X. They do show up online (mostly LinkedIn) but even more they show up at conferences, in offices, through personal introductions — the original social networks. We meet them over coffee, not a tweet.

Their use cases may not have universal attraction, but they serve real needs — maybe yours. That's always been our goal.

The internet is down again. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot. Even AWS and Cloudflare. All down within minutes of each other. There goes your morning.

Server outages are barely even news anymore. They're just a cost of doing business.

We hate to say we told you so, but… this is clearly structural. When you centralise critical stuff, it's a vulnerability to you and your users.

What if your platform had no outages because you had no server?
