This week we were lucky enough to be connected with some amazing researchers who provided us with some rental housing data from CoStar Group Via CHFA. In the Southern Middlesex County area, the average cost for a rental unit was $2,706 for the second quarter of 2024.

(1) There has been a huge volume of interest in our Wellington at Madison community, which is being developed by The Caleb Group and HOPE, so here is some clarifying information:
1.) The application opening tomorrow is a screening application that is 2 pages long.

(2) It only requires basic information about the people in a household and the total household income and assets. Once the initial waitlist has been composed from the screening application process, qualified applicants will have ample time to collect additional documentation

US home values are up 4% over the last year, but that's not been evenly spread throughout the country—CA is up 6.4%, while TX is up only 0.6%

Price growth has been fastest in the northeast—CT is up 11.5% followed by NJ, MA, NH, & RI

Meanwhile, only LA & DC have seen prices fall

@seanghio We at HOPE recognize there's a need for all types of housing in CT, but we also know that folks in different communities have different expectations of what their built environments look like. But zoning restrictions can make these variations harder to achieve, in practice.
