His stuff is just TOO Nasty🔥
MLB Prescription Play #1 ⚾️
Griffin Jax o4.5 Ks (-132 FD)
Griffin has treated us VERY well since being promoted to a starter.
100 ❤️s for Play #2
It was no secret that he was struggling with his strikeout stuff compared to last season. Not unusual since he was moved from a reliever to a starter. However, he is finally getting back to form.
His 38% whiff rate and 28% Putaway rate on 2-counts last season is what allowed him to be so dominant in these scenarios. This season, here is how he progressed:
April: 28% Whiff%, 20% putaway%
May: 32% Whiff%, 22% Putaway%
June: 40% Whiff%, 32% Putaway%
July: 42% whiff%, 28% putaway%
As long as he has a 70 pitch floor like he has had lately, he is too good for a 4.5 line.
Boston has had the 6th highest pitcher adjusted strikeout rate vs RHPs L30 days and the only games Jax has missed this line with real starter volume was against 2 top-3 strikeout teams and just before the break against Seattle.
Caitlin Clark had a great college run, she’s just not remotely close to being a good Pro….and that’s OK, just take her off the pedestal….just a mediocre player with a shoe deal!
