Authorities Asking for Public’s Help After Service Dog Stolen During Robbery
On January 19, 2026 at approximately 5:00 pm, there was a Robbery in the parking lot of the Star stop gas station located at 13250 FM 1960 Road W, Houston, Texas 77065. At the time of the incident, a male victim was walking with his service animal “Bailey”, through the gas station parking lot, when two unknown suspects driving an older model blue Chevrolet pickup truck approached him. There was a brief exchange of words and both men violently assaulted the victim, and subsequently stole his beloved animal. Bailey is described as mixed breed, brown in color, with gray and white hairs around her face and forehead. Bailey was last seen wearing a pink camo vest with the words “service dog” in black lettering. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit, is seeking information on the two unknown suspects described as white males, between the ages of 18-25. The suspect’s vehicle appears to be a late model Chevrolet Silverado possibly between 1999-2002. The truck is shown to have significate paint damage along the sides, hood and roof. A HCSO deputy was involved in a shooting near the 15900 block of Ridlon Street, near Sheldon Road, in East Harris County.

BREAKING: Fatal Auto-pedestrian under investigation
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a deadly crash at the intersection of Jackrabbit Road and FM 529.
According to preliminary information, an adult pedestrian was struck by multiple vehicles in the intersection. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In response to a question from HTX Media regarding whether the involved drivers remained on scene, Ed Gonzalez confirmed that two drivers remained at the scene.
The intersection is currently shut down as deputies conduct their investigation. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

BREAKING NEWS: Deputy-Involved Shooting in Northwest Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A deputy-involved shooting occurred Saturday at a retail outlet located at 12097 Veterans Memorial Drive in northwest Harris County.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were responding to a call for service when one deputy discharged his weapon, striking an adult male suspect. The individual was hit twice and transported to the hospital, where he is listed in fair condition.
Officials confirm that no deputies were injured during the incident.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: 18-Wheeler Engulfed in Flames on Highway 290 🚨
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded Friday morning to a major crash along the 27000 block of the Northwest Freeway (Highway 290) at Mueschke Road, where an 18-wheeler was fully engulfed in flames.
Authorities confirm all individuals have safely exited the truck. At this time, two eastbound lanes of Highway 290 are shut down, along with the Mueschke Road exit. Feeder roads remain open to traffic.
The fire department is currently en route to extinguish the blaze. No further details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
Drivers in the area are urged to use caution and expect significant delays.

TRAFFIC ALERT: A fatal auto-pedestrian crash on I-10 East Freeway (Westbound) at Freeport St has been reported. All westbound lanes have been shutdown as the investigation continues. Seek an alternate route.
This is the 2nd fatal auto-pedestrian crash on this stretch of highway in the past 3 days.
Last month, a female lost her life after being let out of a vehicle pulled off to the side of the road on the eastbound lanes near Uvalde Road.

UPDATE: The major crash involving a FedEx semi-truck that occurred on Hwy 146 near W. Main Street in Baytown, TX has since cleared following hours of clean up by TxDOT, first responders, and OnSite Towing crew. The driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The photos, provided by @OnSiteTowing, shows an up close and Birds Eye view of what first responders and recovery crews had to deal with.
