The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and ARC Innovation at Sheba Medical Center have entered a transformative three-year partnership with NVIDIA to advance genomic discovery using artificial intelligence and large language model (LLM) technology.
This collaboration aims to decode the 98 percent of the human genome that remains insufficiently understood, creating new opportunities for disease prevention, diagnosis, and precision treatment. By combining Mount Sinai and Sheba’s extensive genomic expertise and clinical insight with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge computational architecture and AI platforms, the partnership will support the development of a state-of-the-art Genomic Foundation Model.
The initiative will function as a unified global engine for scientific discovery, integrating genomics, data science, and AI-driven clinical innovation to accelerate breakthroughs with the potential to benefit patients worldwide.
