@mertylturtle@ASPolice I know nothing about guide dogs. So if people do know about them, I don't call them idiots or say they are moaning when people have strong opinions about how to improve future guide dog provision.
Maybe if you don't know about this you shouldn't assume others are idiots.
@itvwestcountry@ASPolice If not, just say your officers have broken bones and punctured lungs to get sympathy before quietly admitting it isn't true like last time. Oink.
@mittu12@damiengayle Working in A&E no clinician would confirm a closed fracture without an X-ray - which in A&E can normally be obtained within 15 minutes.
@Macaroni62 @ASPolice No it doesn't. If you have more restrictions on organised protests then you will get more protests organised anonymously on social media like last night. No notice to police, no marshals and no plan.
The increased penalties apply to organisers. Good luck proving that last night.
@ASPolice Must have been quite embarrassing for you to have protesters running amok whilst officers in uniform stood inside watching or filming on their camera phones. Why weren't they helping their colleagues? Police farce.
@mrjamesob@lbc
This is the letter I got when I had to cancel a shift on an covid ward with 6hrs notice because developed covid symptoms. Told them I was self isolating.
First shift I have cancelled, worked on covid wards & A&E all through pandemic. #Covid_19#NHSblueheart
@LBC@TomSwarbrick1 the one visitor rule. Turned out one of them had already tested positive for covid and the other two did subsequent to the visit
Nurses and care home staff don't want to be the police. 99% of people will be sensible but the 1% ruin it & will kill hundreds. /3
@LBC@TomSwarbrick1 for one hour each day. It's been a nightmare. People refusing to leave. Someone who had a birthday party in the corridor with a dozen other people because they weren't allowed onto the ward.
Most shocking of all we had three people last week who ignored 2/3
@LBC@TomSwarbrick1 My grandmother is in a care home and I'd love to be able to see her. But visiting will not work due to the Cummings effect.
I work on an NHS ward caring for cancer and dialysis patients, some of the most vulnerable for covid. We allow one visitor a day /1
@themathsfactor@carolvorders Perfect, thank you Maths Factor.. Even though bluntly it has meant scraping money together we have signed Beth up as she has progressed immeasurably since lockdown. I have reecommended you to all my friends.
@TomSwarbrick1@LBC Speaking as a white person with mental health issues, if the police tell you to do something, you do it or suffer the consequences. I'm not sure if it is racism, just the police prefer to eschew deference if you are perceived as weak.
@lemoniem@OUHospitals@MattHancock @david4wantage "Don't use covid as an excuse" - not really an excuse is it, there's a massive backlog due to covid and they are prioritising cancer patients. Well publicised that there is an avalanche of GP cancer referrals nationwide. Sure those with potential cancer are grateful.
@sneakybeef@BCPCouncil Think you would be surprised about the number of young people who would google a Twitter account in these circumstances. I always do if going to a big event.
