قرأت مؤخرًا مقال للكاتب Alexander Schram من Gradient Sports، وأعجبتني طريقة تحليله لجوانب مهمه قد تغفلها الأرقام التقليدية.

بدأ المقال بالبحث عن اللاعبين الذين يملكون قدرة استثنائية على الانطلاق بالكرة بسرعة كبيرة خلال لحظات قصيرة. ظهرت أسماء متوقعة مثل جيريمي دوكو، لامين يامال، عثمان ديمبيلي وسافينيو، لكن المفاجأة كانت هيثم حسن، الذي سجل أعلى معدل لهذا النوع من الانطلاقات بين جميع لاعبي الدوريات الأوروبية الخمسة الكبرى.

بعدها لم يتوقفوا عند هذا الرقم، بل قسموا اللعب بالكرة إلى ثلاثة جوانب: المراوغ��، التقدم بالكرة، والحفاظ على الكرة عند الالتحام. كان هيثم حسن من أفضل اللاعبين في المراوغة إلى جانب لامين يامال ونيكو ويليامز وفينيسيوس جونيور، لكنه تميز أكثر من الجميع في التقدم بالكرة.

ثم قاسوا جودة التنفيذ، وليس فقط النتيجة. حقق هيثم حسن أداءً أعلى من المتوقع في 33.7% من مواقفه، مقابل 24.1% فقط كانت أقل من المتوقع، ليحقق أفضل فارق بين أجنحة الدوري الإسباني (+9.6). بينما سجل لامين يامال +2.5 فقط، في حين كانت أرقام فينيسيوس جونيور ونيكو ويليامز سلبية.

أكثر ما أعجبني أن البيانات هنا لم تُستخدم لاختيار اللاعب مباشرة، بل لاكتشاف لاعب قد لا يلفت الانتباه بالإحصائيات التقليدية، ثم استخدام الفيديو لفهم سبب تميزه.
