The Sudanese Journalists' Network (S. J. Net ) rejected the new amendments to the Information Sector Law law. In a statement, the SJN said that the recent amendments minimize the space for public liberties and press freedom.

Unknown gunmen have shot and seriously wounded Abdiwali Ali Online, Universal TV and Kulmiye radio correspondent in Afgoye town this evening. The director of Kulmiye radio Burhan Dini told @HRJournalists that the journalist was shot on the head & chest. HRJ condemns the attack.

The Somali journalist Abdiwali Ali Online who was attacked in Afgoye town this evening has succumbed to his injuries as he was rushed to one of Mogadishu hospitals. Unknown gunmen shot the journalist on the head and chest. HRJ condemns the attack.
