Our Piano Festival continued on Thursday evening with our Junior Years Recital!
Young pianists from L4 to L7 got the chance to play in front of their parents and peers, impressing with their hard work and musical skill.

Later this month, we'll be hosting a three-day piano festival!
Featuring pupil recitals, free lessons and a performance by renowned Dundee-born pianist @MurrayMcPiano, it's sure to be a great time!

More than 80 pupils took part in the Junior Music Competition, entertaining family members, and impressing the adjudicator, with fab performances on instruments ranging from viola, drums, saxophone, trumpet and guitar, to clarsach, voice, piano and xylophone.🎼

Two brothers from the High School of Dundee have been selected to sing with
@NYCOScotland!
Oliver (F2) and William (L7) Walker have both been chosen to join the choir, which is comprised of the most promising young singers from Scotland.

We were delighted to welcome a special visitor recently.
Rebecca Cheng, Director of Keyboard studies, College Accompanist, and co-ordinator of Chapel Music at Scots College Sydney, Australia, spent a day at HSD as she looks to make new musical connections. 🎹
The F5 and F6 winners of the Open Classes in the Senior Music Competition went on to compete for the coveted Premier Quaich.
This year’s winner was Nathan, with a Highly Commended award also going to Daniel.

Well done to members of our Pipe Band who had the honour of playing the teams down the ice for the opening ceremony of the 2023 European Curling Championships in Perth!
