@Gaziter Most people here in the replies are spot on, so won't repeat everything. To me the major point is that feeling of crafting an overpowered build on the spot and roll over the game.
#FFXIVFanFest was so much fun! More shots of my WoL's Skallic Coat of Fending in the following thread!
I modelled / 3D printed the metallic parts but commissioned the fabrics from the extremely talented JarveyL on Etsy ❤️
LF group to carry me into cosplay walk today! I didn't pre-register, was too scared, but was feeling a lot of love for the skallic glam yesterday ❤️

@Eval_Knight@AlexRoseGames Yes you do need a server for punchthrough but you don't need it anymore once the puncthrough is successful, so there is a lot less data going through the server (so it's much cheaper). Relays are in case you can't punchthrough
@AlexRoseGames@evankinney Just to add to the TRCs thing, the good point, if you are not doing cross platform, is that you can use the platform service and their API which will do all the work of connecting people together, so if you don't want cross play, you don't only need relays for PC
@AlexRoseGames Yes, basically sometimes NAT punchthrough by itself works out, but in some situation it won't, relays always work, with the downside that all traffic goes through a server which may be slower than directly connecting players in some cases :( (and obviously it has a $ cost)
@AlexRoseGames Instead, you connect to the relay server (which is setup to accept the connections), and the relay server will be able to send you back packets from the other clients. 2/2
@AlexRoseGames It's mostly for NAT punchthrough most of the time. Most routers won't allow a direct connection to them if it's not from an address they contacted before. As in, unless you specifically setup your router for it, I can't just connect to your computer out of the blue. 1/2
@cosmobiologist Actually one more thing, but directed more toward the people in close proximity who can help daily. Ask if there is anything you can do for them.
They'll have so much more to do than usual and it's easier for them to accept support I believe, than the person receiving treatment
@cosmobiologist Also, it's good to know the treatment dates as usually the time near the next treatment is when we feel better from the previous one, so it's a great time to actually get out and do things if possible! 3/3
@GlennBurgess Didn't read the new terms entirely but it used to be that you couldn't mix licences in one entity. If you had one pro licence, every unity licence in the company had to be a pro one :/
Unity seem to say their new changes are not going to impact smaller developers but that definitely does. When we started out we definitely would have nopped out of Unity if that was the price to release on consoles.
So, we are talking a lot about the new Unity Runtime Fee per install, but note that they are also getting rid of Unity Plus licences and apparently, locking console development to Pro licences only?
So for smaller devs to release on consoles will cost $1400/year more per seat.
