Day 1 in St Louis Missouri is human trafficking interdiction. 140 officers, deputies, probation, CPS and corrections will be getting new skills to identify and investigate trafficking.

Shout out to Missouri Attorney General's Office for sponsoring this training and to Diana Haines for doing all the work to make this training a reality and helping the citizens of the state.

I have always thought that climbing big mountains is a microcosm of life.

In the big mountains to be successful you have to learn to handle your fears. Heights, crevasses, avalanche, cold, failure, and nature itself. If you cannot handle your fear, you will not reach the summit, the same as in life.

In the big mountains to be successful you have to be "gritty". In the mountains it seems logical to give up, to quit, to go back down, it seems illogical to keep going. People with "grit" succeed in the mountains and in life. They fail and keep going, they go bankrupt and keep going, they are cold and sick and keep going, they get divorced and keep going, they don't make the summit but keep trying. Grity people do not give up in the mountains and in life.

In the mountains you cannot listen to others. Other people will tell you not to go, other people will say you are crazy, or its too dangerous, other people will doubt you, some will just want you to fail and others may even sabotage you. People that succeed in the mountains do not listen to others, they only trust themselves. Trust yourself in life.

Day 2 for Kyle Bradley in Dennison Texas as he is teaching human trafficking operations to officers, deputies and troopers from across Texas.

I am in Orange County California today at the Code Comply summit teaching illicit massage business investigations to over 600 code and licensing folks from across the United States.
