Is it perverse that closing schools as a precautionary measure appears to be a bigger story than an actual ceiling collapse?
Poor building standards cannot be allowed to be a background issue. It’s dangerous, wastes budgets and inhibits progress. #edutwitter
To show the balance of responsibilities, I think buildings, staffing numbers, finances etc should be on a @educationgovuk@Ofstednews scorecard. Driving up standards has to be met by government in its responsibilities. @bphillipsonMP
Another vital community theatre to be demolished because of RAAC - the Motherwell theatre and concert hall following the beloved Brunton in Musselburgh

Some Aberdeen residents whose homes are set to be demolished due to the presence of the collapse-risk concrete #RAAC say they’ve been told their properties are now worth around £50,000 less than their original value. I’ll have more on this on @bbcradioscot from 8.35am. #bbcgms
@bphillipsonMP@RachelReevesMP Not all schools with RAAC were anywhere near the BSF list. There remains ~15,000 schools from the 50s, 60s, 70s which all need to be rebuilt ASAP to stop the drainage of money from teaching and learning, provide comfort and inspiration to children and staff and for net zero.
