I said it before and I'll say it again, if someone chooses Spurs over United, he wasn't the right character for us to begin with. Good luck dousing fire at Spurs.
As far as United are concerned, I do hope we have those lists ready. Because you cannot expect PL-proven and reasonable fee at the same time, especially now after City ravaged the market with the Anderson fee.
What I do not want to see is United, who have been backed into a corner after missing a key target, panic and pay £80-85m for someone like Alex Scott. If you have drawn a line about not overpaying, you better stick to it no matter what. Better hope our scouts have some gems ready.
#mufc have now conceded defeat in signing Spurs-bound Mateus Fernandes. Insist the valuation isn’t right and want players who truly want to play for the club. United feel that Fernandes wasn’t clear enough on which club he wanted to join during discussions.
May 2025 - Relegated with Southampton ❌
May 2026 - Relegated with Westham❌
Matheus Fernandes requesting for £250k per week wages and opening doors to any club that can match the fee is absolute shithousery and I’m backing INEOS 💯 for refusing to pay. To top it off, Westham were also demanding £85m full package for a relegated player.
Goodluckto him at Spurs I do hope they relegate come next season.
As I have said before if a player is 50/50 about #MUFC and Spurs. Then that's a player I don't want anywhere near my Club. Also 85 m and 250 K that's insane man. Can't justify that. All 4 last season signings will be knocking on doors to improve their wages, if we signed him.
Cunha carried Wolves for two straight seasons and still didn’t cost us £85m. Yet you expect INEOS to pay that for Fernandes, who’s already been relegated twice at just 21? 😂
Not bothered about this. You don’t pay £85mil for ‘potential’ - especially when United need proven. Price tag and personal terms expected are crazy for a player with one stand out season in a shocking, relegated side.
So I’m supposed to be angry because Manchester United refused to pay £85m for Mateus Fernandes who was relegated twice and was worth £55m at the most?
Our fans need to grow up, this isn’t FIFA.
We are a professional, responsible organisation.
Watch who we sign then STFU! 🤫
I didn't see one tweet about any German/Holland players after their loss. A certain someone would've been blamed for not running, not pressing, told to retire, called selfish and finished.
so disrespect only happens when Cristiano Ronaldo is involved .. got it 👌🏻
Anderson chose a Pepless City, for money.
Mateus Fernandes chose Spurs over his preferred Manchester United and the chance to play alongside his idol, for money.
Sandro Tonali’s heart is in Italy but he refuses to go back home because of money.
You’d think these players were rejecting minimum wage, not 150k+ a week.
Bruno Fernandes I appreciate you *even more* after seeing you reject GENERATIONAL wealth to follow your heart and stay loyal.
This is how you separate the men from the boys.
People may laugh at Manchester United for this or call them broke, but they’re actually setting a standard in the transfer market by not overpaying.
Now clubs will think twice before trying to bend them over, knowing United won’t pay inflated fees. It’s the same approach Arsenal have adopted in recent years.
Liverpool overpaid for Wirtz and paid for it by overpaying for Isak too, Chelsea have faced a similar predicament.
Splashing huge money on undervalued players always comes with consequences. United are not Manchester city or PSG with Arab money.
United fans may not be happy right now, but trust me, this is the best approach for your club.
