Im is important to regulate your social media posts etc. because of the public forum they rely on. Although private accounts are possible, nothing is truly ever private which in turn contributes to a sense of accessibility people have into your life. @jschmidt_james

Social media posts are becoming increasingly significant throughout people’s live, specifically when under consideration for a school or a job. What we post and how we react can reflect a person’s character, and can contribute to acceptance or rejection. @jschmidt_james

@MathewTadros @jschmidt_james I agree, although many people do not necessarily understand or agree with his motives, his actions should not have such a grave effect on his career. What many perceived as completely disrespectful and detrimental, others saw as inspiring and a form of advocacy.

@jschmidt_james It is vital for people in America to be able to speak out against injustices, and Kaepernick was simply using his First Amendment right and celebrity platform to advocate for what he believed in. However, he could have used his voice in an alternative way.

@jschmidt_james Ultimately, I believe that Kaepernick should be allowed to play again, because he was trying to send a message and speak out against injustices that he did not agree with it.

@jschmidt_james Kaepernick serves as a role model to a partially younger audience and his actions may not have reflected the best message. On one hand, he exemplified the importance of utilizing free speech, but on the other, he encouraged a sense of disrespect towards the flag.

@jschmidt_james I feel that Kaepernick should be allowed to play, following a suspension, because his actions were legal. I do agree that there may have been better ways to utilize symbolic speech, however, he should not be penalized for his choice of expression.

@jschmidt_james Vending machines have begun to switch over to healthy options. 1/3 of vending machines now contain food choices that are “better for you”. Several organizations have banded together to enforce and support this change. #vendingmachines

@jschmidt_james Vending machines are practically everywhere making it nearly impossible to prevent consumers from using them. However, if healthier options are placed in the vending machine, then consumers will be forced to choose a healthier alternative. #vendingmachines
