I remember the day I fell off a horse during a polo game and broke my arm. Lying on the hospital bed, my mum told me she didn’t want me riding anymore and instructed our captain to sell my two horses and all my kits.

I had to stop, even though I loved the game deeply. Later on, I managed to convince her to let me play again 😅.

Today, she’s no longer with us 😢. May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and those of all our late parents, and may He bless and protect those who are still alive. Ameen.
