The U.S. has the worst affordability shortage since the 1980s with record high home prices and lowest for-sale homes, pricing out many renters from becoming homebuyers. Thank you Dr. Lautz w/ @nardotrealtor for presenting this data for our first session at #HabitatontheHill 2024.
Through the #CostOfHome campaign, state and local Habitat organizations have supported more than 300 policy successes that increase access to home affordability. At #HabitatontheHill, they share how they helped achieve those wins to enhance our collective advocacy ability.
The #NeighborhoodHomes Investment Act now has more than 20 cosponsors in the House! We thank @RepJoeCourtney, @dinatitus and @RepDavids for their support helping low- and moderate-income homeowners in distressed communities and increasing the affordable housing supply in the U.S.
Great to have Sen. @meetjoenguyen at our Highland Terrace site on Wednesday! Loved talking about affordable housing and what more we can do to drive the #CostOfHome down!
