@p_ssyasslatto@beccalovesall23@wildklip Humans are far more complex than operating exclusively off of a gain/loss mindset. How you haven't realized this by now is beyond me. I wouldn't behave that way in the slightest, but I'm not ignorant enough to question why another person would
@Steal_Home@SumEveryNothing@Gymvibe_ You can't wear basketball shorts for gymnastics, safety hazard. Even men's gymnastics wear is tight fitted and elastic. Loose clothing for gymnastics is terrible.
@local_residents@everymovieandtv Not at all what he said. He specifically said he hates hearing about how she marched with Dr. King every time he walks into their home. He wants to be seen as black without being treated as a novelty or a token. He doesnt like that she has to "prove" she cares about black people.
@JeffHutch82@buffys You really just assumed the person was complaining, then fed into your own delusion with a meaningless rant. All they said was "lunch". How tf you get to all that from that one word?
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 I can understand that. I just don't have it in me to meet the needs someone who is disrespectful AND wrong. Once they get that feeling of validation, whether its for my own peace or not, they will feel like they can do it to others who may not have the wherewithal to refuse
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 You seem very well educated from our brief back and forth here. I think we just have different perspectives. The part I don't think was worth it was calling the cops on someone who isn't breaking the law. She didn't want to move her car, that's her decision. The caller escalated
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 Not at all. That sounds like a valid interaction. Unfortunately, with the video we have here, there's no way to know whether the man approaches with that type of demeanor
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 I'm not young or old. Comfortably in the middle somewhere. I also didn't say you will never have to choose between the two. I even specified that by saying, "Especially in a scenario where....." I will always try for both, but can understand the moments when it's unlikely
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 Initially you said you didn't understand why the person wouldn't just move their car. That's what I was hoping to shed some light on during this conversation. It's less about having fewer problems, and more about standing up for what you believe is right, not giving in to wrongs.
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 Both can be true simultaneously. Why should you have to pick one? Be right and be happy. Especially in a scenario where the other party is being wrong and disgruntled. I won't give up my rights or my happiness for that cause
@MCCgvfq@Breaking57 I definitely would. Not food I bought for myself, no. Which is the scenario I proposed here. I wouldn't mind buying something extra for said person. But the food off of my plate is off limits, I draw the line there. Which is the point, everyone's line falls in a different place
