#DavidMalouf#TheOnlySpeakerOfHisTongue
"When I think of my tongue being no longer alive in the mouths of men a chill goes over me that is deeper than my own death, since it is the gathered death of all my kind".
David Malouf: The Only Speaker of His Tongue, Antipodes, 1985
The passing of the great Australian author #davidmalouf reminds me of his book of essays Typewriter Music. That title alone captured his love of writing and his dance with words and ideas. Rest in poetry.

'Tyrants always fear art because tyrants want to mystify while art tends to clarify. The good artist is a vehicle of truth...However it may be admitted that in this age art seems to have rather more enemies than usual...tyrants of course are still here and we know what they do.'
@BasilTheGreat It hasn’t been banned. The 3 screenings in my city charged $99 for a ticket. Definitely a film for the battlers and not Gina Rhineheart.
