We carefully analyzed data from the PAW3950, PAW3395, and PAW3399. Two important findings:

1. By default (Ripple Control disabled), these 3 sensors have 2 frames of smoothing, similar to the low-dpi behavior of PMW3360 and PMW3389. The exception is the PAW3950 at ≤5000dpi.
2. All these sensors have a period after set-down where smoothing is increased, usually to 16 frames. On the older sensors, this is quite brief: 12ms. But on PAW3950's corded gaming modes, it lasts an incredibly long 0.45s!

On the XA25, we messed around with undocumented register settings to eliminate smoothing as much as possible. Feedback from testers has been very positive so far!

@nl_iggy @cs2news there are so many microstutters especially when moving your mouse around quickly and its more noticeable going in circles in cs2 youll see doubles of stuff like theres screen tearing it feels like youre getting a much lower fps than what youre getting or seeing

@nl_iggy @cs2news you dont play any other game to reference your fps to? try putting any other game locked at 200fps or even 180fps and move your mouse quickly in a circle notice small stutters if theres any then go to cs2 at your 375 fps and do the same thing i promise its not as smooth

@cs2news Better fps frame times and frame pacing so my 400 fps feels like 400 and not 140 I can play any other game and it's smoother at a lower fps cs2 has been unplayable since launch no where near as smooth as csgo was the only fix is gsync+vsync on but comes with latency it's horrible

@DooM49 frametimes and frame pacing are so bad in the game 400 fps feels like 180 and they recommend gsync and vsync w/ reflex on which fixes the issue and makes it smoother it comes with an added latency that makes it unplayable it needs to be as smooth as csgo again for it to be great!

🔴 Myth Busted #3

"Enable X3D Turbo Mode for better gaming performance."

Here is what it actually does the moment you turn it on:

C-States disabled, you can do this manually anyway.

Second CCD disabled, manageable if set up correctly with Process Lasso.

SMT disabled, this is the problem. Already explained in the previous tweet why SMT off is bad.

Disable X3D Turbo Mode → save → reboot → go back into BIOS → manually verify SMT is Enabled or Auto.

@outexgod1 It really feels like if you set your mouse polling right to 125 Hz playing a high FPS game just mouse movements are not smooth at all

@outexgod1 My problem since it launched is the fact that 400 FPS feels like 250 your framerate never match what it feels like I'll be at 400 FPS and I'll see doubles of trees and doubles of objects moving my mouse in a circle looks like screen tearing feels like polling rate locked to 125hz
