@KisleyJacob We saw Baker’s peak & it was never going to be enough to win a SB
Watsons peak could win a SB (theoretically)
They took a BIG swing & it was a disaster
If BM stayed we’d have been around .500 every year. The media & fans would have turned on him to the point he’d have been cut
@feartheelf23@Kwen_C Try again.
Nobody gives a fuck if you “analytically won the game” but took the L.
The QB gets paid to make the winning play. Low-scoring or high-scoring game, defense is on or off, or the weather is bad, you are the leader.
Win or it hits your resume.
@feartheelf23@Kwen_C QBs have ALWAYS been judged on wins & losses, especially in the playoffs. They’re the most important position in sports. Don’t try convincing anyone otherwise.
They’re the captain, the highest paid, & the one that carries all the accolades or blame.
It will be like that forever
@feartheelf23@Kwen_C It’s also not smart to extend a QB to a huge contract that’s a bit above average.
In the worst division the past 3 years he has a 27-24 record. That would be way worse elsewhere. Add up his record prior & he’s a “good” QB in total.
You don’t give Top 3 money to a good QB.
@HawkEmDownChris Up until Shaq ate himself out of the league, he was better. From there, he was too fat and too slow.
Duncan was great longer but Shaq’s peak was higher. Hell, Shaq’s peak might have been higher than anyone else, ever.
