I am recruiting a postdoc in my lab to work on fish habitat associations, movement, and ecology in MS waters. We do telemetry work with a variety of species in our waters (FW->Marine). Chek out this link for more details! https://t.co/zFAROC8UH1
🦪🚨🦪 First publication!!
Modeled oyster larval performance and settlement windows were compared to observed recruitment in Delaware Bay. Strong agreement validates the model and emphasizes the importance of food supply on larval development https://t.co/njTwCbD8Mh
🚨🐟🦖New paper! Gulf Sturgeon are currently unprotected under the ESA in Alabama, however, we found that they occupied habitats within Mobile Bay during the overwinter foraging period warranting reconsideration for protection of the species in this system https://t.co/19YhBIDmwd
I am recruiting a PhD student to come work with Paddlefish using telemetry and capture-recapture. Preferred start would be January 2024, but understand the application deadline is near so also open to conversations about Fall 24. See link below for info

Happy to say that my lab and I will be staying @soseusm, but now on the tenure-track path. I am excited to continue working with great colleagues/collaborators and looking forward to making new ones. Grateful for everyone that has helped along my path thus far, especially my lab!
Yesterday we wished @greenbeath well as she heads to GMU to start her PhD journey with @TReidNelson1; she will certainly be missed here but I am excited to see the great work she will accomplish. As a parting gift she gave me a bottle of @SturgeonSpirits Rum, much appreciated!
Spent an early Father’s Day with my children and some of the friends they made in the Delaware Bay! They grow up so fast! 🦪
Does anyone know what kind of eel this is?
