I wathed this today. It's one of the best things I've watched ♥️
Indeed, the Quran contains miracles, signs, and lessons that we have not found in any other books.
After Subh this morning, Imam faced us and admonish us. He said and I quote.
"Avoid gossip and refrain from speaking ill of others. The world is a scary place, and those who criticize others will be afflicted themselves. O Allah, protect our tongues from backbiting and slander."
Tomorrow, Wednesday, is the day of fasting on Tasu'a, and Thursday is the day of fasting on Ashura.
If you are unable to fast, please remind others so that someone may fast and you may receive the reward.
Whether people are Muslim or not, moments like this remind us how deeply faith, respect, and reverence are valued in Islam.
Sometimes the world sees Islam through politics or headlines, but there is also beauty in the honor Muslims give to what they believe is holy.
One thing I noticed at the 2026 World Cup really stood out to me.
Every country’s flag was placed on the pitch before the match, except Saudi Arabia’s flag and maybe some other islamic countries (I don't really follow). The reason is simple but powerful.
The Saudi flag contains the Shahada, the declaration of faith in Islam:
“There is no dirty worthy of worship but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger.”
Because those words are sacred to we Muslims, the flag is treated with special respect and is not placed on the ground.
