A WARM WELCOME TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR, AND THE LEADERSHIP OF THE PBAT/APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL TO KADUNA STATE

It is with great pleasure and profound respect that I welcome His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, the leadership of our great party, the APC, the Director General and all distinguished members of the PBAT/APC Presidential Campaign Council to Kaduna State for the presidential campaign flag-off.

Kaduna State remains a strategic and vibrant hub in Nigeria's political and cultural landscape. As we receive the President and campaign delegation, we reaffirm our commitment to national unity, democratic participation, peace, and sustainable development.

This historic occasion provides an opportunity to strengthen party cohesion, deepen engagement with citizens and stakeholders, and advance our shared vision for a more prosperous Nigeria.

Democracy flourishes when citizens actively participate in the affairs of their nation. The journey ahead requires continued engagement with communities, stakeholders and citizens across all sectors of society.

I therefore wish to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of civil society organisations, community leaders, women groups, youth organisations, professional bodies and grassroots stakeholders whose efforts continue to strengthen democratic participation and civic engagement throughout our country.

It's worth noting that whenever a high-profile person is visiting town, security operatives are always deployed to flashpoint areas like markets, roundabouts, flyovers, places of worship, and other strategic locations. It's a standard practice that happens everywhere.

Even during the last administration of President Buhari, police and other security personnel were deployed to these flashpoint areas, as you can see in the first frame.

So, the claim being shared by aggrieved ADC members that security operatives have been deployed specifically to guard President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s billboards in Kaduna State is completely baseless. It only shows they have lost ground in the state and across Nigeria.

But if you insist those security personnel are actually guarding those billboards, then we will simply say we are maintaining the tradition we inherited during Baba Buhari! 😆

Ya Allah! As we welcome this blessed Juma’ah day, fill our hearts with faith, our souls with tranquility, and our lives with Your endless mercy. Forgive our sins, accept our prayers, ease our burdens, and open for us doors of goodness that no one can close. Make us among those who remember You often, trust You completely, and depart this world with Your pleasure. Ameen.

Today, I visited Malam Ahmed Abubakar Zakka, his wife, Nafisah, and their daughter, Fatima, at the Kaduna State Government safe house, where they continue to receive medical care following their discharge from hospital after regaining their freedom. I was encouraged by their progress and remain hopeful of their full recovery, supported by our commitment to ensuring they receive the care they need. Their ordeal is a painful reminder of the human cost of insecurity and the solemn responsibility we bear to protect lives and restore peace to every community.

I conveyed our solidarity and assured the family that our support would extend beyond this visit. The Kaduna State Government will provide them with a home, meet all medical expenses and ensure sustained psychosocial care to help them recover, rebuild their lives and regain a sense of security.

Their freedom strengthens our resolve to confront banditry and other criminality through closer cooperation with security agencies, stronger security coordination and deeper engagement with communities. Every resident deserves to live without fear, and we will continue working to fulfil that obligation.

I sincerely thank His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his personal engagement and concern for the family’s safety. I also commend the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the nation’s security agencies for their decisive contributions to securing their safe return.

Malam Ahmed expressed gratitude to the Federal and Kaduna State Governments and the security agencies for their concerted efforts and compassion. His appreciation of the care he is receiving, and his confidence in his recovery, offer encouragement as we stand with the family through this period of healing. Their wellbeing and recovery will remain a priority for our administration throughout the months ahead.
