Congratulations to @HaleyRWang of @UCLA on receiving a 2024 COGDOP Scholarship!✨ In Haley's own words, this funding will "enhance my ability to conduct impactful clinical research in psychotic disorders." We're so excited to see the impact of this work!

Please reach out to me if you want to help! The best thing you can do is get this QR from @Vot_ER_org up in medical student/resident lectures so trainees can register to vote! Pass it on!
I am excited to share our meta-analysis (861 effect sizes) on how the links between emotion regulation (ER) and mental health differ across 37 cultures and demographic compositions, which was recently accepted in principle by *Nature Human Behaviour*! https://t.co/hF4uZyf7M3
WOW - @OHBM just put about 800 videos online including tutorials and symposia [1,2] from many years of past brain mapping meetings! https://t.co/8sY1np3bgd
[1] Some were there before but it looks like entire conferences were just added
[2] I am not involved with this, just appreciative - thanks to @StephForkel@sofievalk Kevin Sitek, Alfie Wearn
New paper out this week. Double-blind clinical trial of decoded neurofeedback for specific phobia. Coolest thing I've taken part in now in print. Was a privilege working on this with @hakwanlau, Mitsuo Kawato, @ADRC_UCLA & @Vincent_T_D

Transitions between cognitive topographies: contributions of network structure, neuromodulation, and disease | https://t.co/wmGwCR9KEE
How does the brain transition between cognitive activation patterns? ⤵️
We’ve got a new preprint out! 👏🥳
Have you ever wanted to model and ⚡️control⚡️neural dynamics on your connectome data? 🤔
Well, you’re in luck because our team has put together a protocol paper and a Python package to help you do just that! 😎

Brilliant Schizophrenia Sub-typing paper in 41 international cohorts (N=11369 MRI scans) by the Chinese ZIB Consortium + ENIGMA: https://t.co/aE2BKkKcVO
1⃣schizophrenia has (at least) 2 main subtypes with a frontal-first or temporal-first progression sequence of gray matter loss [1]
2⃣ trajectories are somewhat consistently found in Asian and European ancestry populations, especially the frontal first pattern
[1] We used to [2] think of this as a temporal->frontal sequence ( https://t.co/jKQP2ZNsgC ) but now it seems to be a mix of trajectories

The brain is metabolically hungry but most accounts of cognition do not consider the energy cost of neural activity
Here we review the metabolic budget of neural homeostasis + cognition; associated evolutionary constraints; plus disturbances in disease
