After watching The Conjuring 2, I can’t get over how disrespectful and cruel it is to the memory of Bill Wilkins—he was a real human being who lived and died in that house, and he does not deserve to be turned into a generation’s boogeyman.

Watched 1980’s THE CHILDREN today as an antidote to the Conjuring franchise, and it was exactly what I hoped for—a charming, low-budget indie film with everyone giving their all to a premise so goddamn goofy no studio would ever have approved it.

@letstalkhorror_ Oh my god. I joke in the episode that his abs should have gotten a co-star credit, because I have never seen a movie work so hard to get its male star topless for so much of the film. It is honest to god hilarious.

Finding out how religious the Hayes brothers are, specifically how patriarchally religious they are, has really brought the cultural messaging of the Conjuring movies into focus and I don’t mean that as a compliment.
