Today marks 103 years since the Halifax Explosion. This photo was the first time that families of the two Pilots, Captain Francis Mackey and Captain William Hayes, had ever met.ย It was an honour to be a part of this and honour our history.

Welcome the first vessel to call at the newly extended Pier 42 @psamarine Halifax. The extension increased the piers length to 800 metres, and can accomodate 2 x ULCV's (Ultra Large Container Vessels) simultaneously
Congratulations @portofhalifax

Obviously this Pilot Ladder is not up to standard. All rungs must be equal distance apart and level. You can imagine trying to get your footing on a rough dark night! #marinepilot#safety
