In 1804 the world population reached a total of 1 billion people & it took 123 years after that till 1927 to reach a world population of 2 billion people. It then took 33 years for till 1960 for those 2 billion people to reach a world population of 3 billion people. It then took only 14 years till 1974 for the world population of 3 billion people to reach a world population total of 4 billion people & those 4 billion people took 13 years till 1987 to add another 1 billion people to make the world population 5 billion people.
At this point we can see the birth rate slowed down drastically when it took the world population of 5 billion people a total of 12 years till 1999 to reach a world population of 6 billion people, but those 6 billion people also took 12 years till 2011 to reach a world population of 7 billion people.
In comparison to a smaller population totals in the past who managed to add 1 billion people to the population, the world population of 7 billion people in 2011 have been struggling for the past 12 years to grow the world population to our current total of 8 billion people.
Based on the U.N. projections with the current world population of 8 billion people we will only reach a world population of 9 billion people in 2037 which is 14 years from now and the same duration it took a world population of just 3 billion people to reach 4 billion people between 1960 & 1974. The worst part about the U.N. projections is it will take the world population of 9 billion people a staggering 21 years between 2037 & 2058 to reach a world population of 10 billion people.
The U.N. then projects the world population will peak at 10.4 billion people in 2080 and at that point the world population growth rate will hit 0 & will go into a negative growth rate & start its decline.
This is just 57 years from now which means most of the world population who are alive today will still be alive then & see the start of the population collapse in real time.
