Baseball world lost a true gem yesterday with the passing of Joe Mattei. A longtime coach both at the college & legion level, I’ll remember Joe best as being my Zone 2 commissioner. A member of the @CTLegionBBall HOF, Joe defined baseball!

Hamden topped Naugatuck 9-4 last night to improve to (8-11) on the year. Isaiah Newman went six strong to get the win.
